Aboriginal Engagement

Pindari's engagement Strategies help define our objective to establish and maintain sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities increasing diversity in our workforce. We aim to provide employment and training opportunities for local Aboriginal people where ever possible through ardent recruitment and procurement practices.

Where possible we seek to source and present local Aboriginal labour from project based communities before drawing on our wider network of Indigenous and non Indigenous employees.

Pindari understands the benefits this provides primarily for Aboriginal people within these communities and secondly the wider Aboriginal population in WA.
Training and mentoring is a key objective in developing long term employment outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Pindari has maintained three Aboriginal Trade Apprentices across plumbing, painting and electrical divisions as well as an Administration Trainee. Pindari actively assists other Aboriginal businesses and organisations in capacity building through procurement, strategic alliances, informal partnerships and sub contracting opportunities.

Pindari is highly respectful of the Traditional Owner Groups throughout the Pilbara where we work. Developing relationships with relevant Groups and their people as well as alliances with other Pilbara Aboriginal Businesses has been a key aim in meeting the company's vision.

Training and mentoring is a key objective in developing long term employment outcomes for Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
